NASA's desperate bid to save planet Earth

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is currently negotiating with Meghan McCain, the daughter of failed Presidential hopeful Senator John McCain, to spearhead a desperate mission to save Earth from a 10-mile wide killer asteroid that is on a collision course with our planet. NASA plans to use a Saturn V rocket to launch Meghan into deep space where she will be able focus her considerable gravitational prowess on the wayward asteroid -- thereby diverting it into a benign solar orbit that is no longer a threat to Earth.

Tea Party Baby !

While the rest of you were all in attendance at the various Tea Parties being held around the U.S.A., collie, the Mrs. and I were attending to family business. Announcing the first official Tea Party Baby! -- born to us at precisely 6:00 AM PDT on April 15th, 2009 here in an undisclosed suburb of Seattle. Vital statistics: Baby boy weighing in at 7 pounds 5 ounces and 20 inches long. Disposition: Mother and baby are doing fine (although the CyberCipher is somewhat sleep deprived and collie remains, shall we say, "unimpressed".) I promised all of the participants at HotAir.com and MichelleMalkin.com pictures -- and never let it said the collie and the CyberCipher don't deliver on their promises. While the debate over Obama Derangement Syndrome (ODS) rages on (e.g. here) and the propensity of some folks to invoke Godwin's law when discussing President Elect Obama is decried as shameful behavior akin to the kind of "stuff" routinely seen at web sites like Daily KOS, I nevertheless remain puzzled and alarmed by one thing, viz. the numbers. After taking a good look at the numbers, how is it that black people in the United States overwhelmingly perceive the election of Barack Obama as some kind of victory for their people/race?
